Republic Day

Republic Day is one of the prideful days for Indian citizen. This patriotic day is celebrated on 26th January with full of joy to show love for nation. On this day in year 1950, India adopted its constitution which replaced Government of India Act (1935). With the declaration of democracy in India the constitution of India included all the democratic governing rules. On this day,  India officially became independent as a democratic republic nation where people have freedom. With the acceptance of constitution of India, Indian citizen got the freedom of living how they want to. Approval of low of constitution of India was done by Parliament of India on 26th November 1949 but it was actually adopted on 26th January 1950. The constitution was drafted by a committee whose chairman was Dr. B. R. Ambedkar.

Republic Day

Republic Day is celebrated all over nation as it is a national holiday. Government of India celebrates this day on Rajpath, India Gate in New Delhi. This celebration is exclusively conducted in the presence of the President of India. In this celebration each state organizes cultural models on Rajpath. There is also display of military and defense capabilities. This parade is the evidence of unity in diversity and the strength of nation. There are displays of research and innovation done by India also which makes us feel proud of being Indian.

With such historical importance of Republic Day,  we also love to celebrate this patriotic day. We arrange celebrations at our place with various competitions and activities. We remember freedom fighters and their sacrifices for nation’s independence. We also arrange debate competition on current topics and trends which can contribute for the well being of nation. We owe the martyrs for their lives who fought for our safety.

We organize flag hosting ceremony on this day to give respect and honor to our nation. Our flag has three colors saffron, white and green. By hosting such tricolor flag of our nation we pray for strength, peace and greenery in nation. Such flag hosting is a pride moment for all of us Indians. After that we play our National Anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with extreme respect. We arrange patriotic singing competition to celebrate national holiday of Republic Day. We celebrate the democracy which leads people to rule people for people. We believe that the republic day is the perfect occasion to look back on glorious past of our nation and plan for the prosperous future.
